A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Daulatpur border in Kushtia. The body of the slain youth is at Hogalbaria police station in Nadia district of West Bengal, India. The house of the youth named Liton Hossain (35) is in Bilgathua village on the Indian border in Daulatpur Upazila of Kushtia.

Daulatpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Jabid Hasan gave this information. He said the OC of Hogalbaria police station in Nadia district of West Bengal called him at 10:05 pm on Saturday by sending him some pictures. The OC of the Hogalbaria police station said that one person was killed in a shootout with BSF at the border at night. It seems that the young man can be a Bangladeshi. The body is kept in their police station.
OC SM Jabid Hasan said pictures were sent to Union Parishad (UP) chairmen, members, and BIT police officers in all border areas of Daulatpur Upazila. Akbar Biswas of the Mathpara area of ​​Bilgathua identified his son's body after seeing the picture. He has confirmed this later by collecting his national identity card. Some people in the area informed him that the deceased Liton Hossain used to bring various goods from India illegally. However, there is no complaint against him in this regard.
An official of the 48th Battalion of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Mirpur, Kushtia, told that they had learned unofficially that some Bangladeshis had crossed the border into India. One of the wounded died at the hospital. Steps are being taken to return the bodies through a flag meeting at the border today.
